Situated at an altitude of 1,600 meters (5,250 feet) above sea level, Munnar lies at the confluence of three mountain streams — Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala. Once the summer resort of the British colonial administration, Munnar still retains its old-world charm, with colonial-era bungalows and tea estates spread across the hills.

The highlight of Thekkady is the renowned Periyar National Park, located in the southern part of Kerala. In the evening, prepare for a spiritually uplifting experience at the iconic Meenakshi Amman Temple, one of India’s most magnificent and historic temples. Day 7: Madurai City Tour – Culture, History & Sacred Hills

Begin your sightseeing with a visit to the iconic Rock Fort Temple, a stunning temple complex perched atop a massive ancient rock. The temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, is reached by climbing 434 rock-cut steps, with shrines interspersed along the way. From the top, you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding plains.

Your tour begins with a visit to the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, founded by Sri Aurobindo, a freedom fighter, philosopher, and yogi from Bengal who played a significant role in India’s independence movement before dedicating his life to spiritual practice.
